Brunch in Aix-en-Provence
A brunch with the flavours of the Mediterranean and the Orient, served from 10am on our terrace in the heart of old Aix.
AROM, your Mediterranean brunch in the heart of Aix
On Sunday mornings in Aix-en-Provence, the town centre slows down. The market fills the Place Richelme, strollers linger by the fountains, and the first tables come out along the Rue Espariat. Brunch time. At 44 Rue Espariat, a stone’s throw from the Sunday market, AROM welcomes you for a brunch quite unlike the others.
Here there is no fixed set menu and no imposed time slot. The kitchen is running from 10am and you build your own plate à la carte: a platter of mezze to share, a hot dish for the hungry, an oriental pastry and a mint tea. Service runs right through to 11.30pm, so whether you arrive at 10.30am or 2pm, the choice of time is yours.
A Mediterranean and oriental brunch, far from eggs Benedict
We all know the Anglo brunch: pancakes, bacon, avocado toast. In Aix another approach is gaining ground, the one of Mediterranean and oriental breakfasts. Picture a platter in the middle of the table: hummus, flat-leaf parsley tabbouleh, falafel, za’atar labneh, baba ganoush and warm pita fresh from the oven.
Alongside, lightly spiced grills, a seasonal salad, perhaps a vegetable couscous for those wanting something heartier, all served with fresh mint tea or a pressed juice. Discover our selection of mezze to share, made for everyone to dip into together, as the Levantine tradition intends.

Healthy, vegetarian, family-friendly: a brunch for everyone
Mediterranean cuisine naturally offers one of the finest vegetarian ranges there is. Hummus, falafels, tabbouleh, grilled vegetables, composed salads: a good part of the menu is meat-free, and many dishes suit gluten-free diets (hummus, grills, salads).
The à la carte format also solves the mixed-table question: when some want eggs and others want grills, everyone builds their own plate. Children pick at the mezze without having to finish an adult set menu, and for the hungriest a vegetable couscous makes a full lunch. Non-stop service removes the pressure of a time slot: you arrive when everyone is ready.

Brunch on your own schedule, from 10am
At AROM, non-stop service blurs the line between brunch and lunch. From morning to night the same Mediterranean and oriental menu is available: a platter of mezze doubles as a late brunch, a couscous or grills as lunch. On Sundays as during the week, AROM stays open without interruption from 10am to 11.30pm. No slot to keep, no closed menu, just the freedom to choose your time.
And because brunch is best enjoyed in the sun, our Rue Espariat terrace opens onto the pedestrian centre, a few steps from the Place Richelme and its Sunday market. Booking is welcome between 11am and 1pm; it’s quieter before 10.30am or after 1.30pm.

Can I brunch on the terrace at AROM?
Yes, whenever the weather allows. AROM’s terrace opens onto the Rue Espariat, one of the liveliest pedestrian streets in old Aix, a few steps from the Place Richelme and its Sunday market. It is available from 10am, ideal for brunch in the sun from spring to autumn.
Is AROM’s brunch suitable for vegetarians or gluten-free diets?
Absolutely. The menu includes many vegetarian dishes (hummus, falafels, tabbouleh, grilled vegetables, composed salads, vegetable couscous) and several naturally gluten-free options (hummus, grills, salads). Just let your server know and we adapt whenever possible.
Can I brunch with children?
Yes, the à la carte format suits families particularly well. Children pick at the mezze plates without having to finish an adult set menu, and non-stop service removes the time-slot constraint: you arrive when the children are ready, even in the middle of the afternoon.
What is the difference between brunch and non-stop lunch service?
A classic brunch is a hybrid meal taken in late morning, often around a fixed set menu and a booked time slot. Non-stop service removes that boundary: the kitchen does not close between midday and evening, with no imposed slot or closed menu. At AROM the same Mediterranean and oriental menu is served from 10am to 11.30pm, whether you come to brunch at 11am or lunch at 3pm.
